Course Structure
AWARD School provides students with insight into the creative process, inspires creative thinking and develops the creative disciplines of art direction and copywriting.
Each week all students must attend a Monday evening lecture and a Thursday evening tutorial session, both commence at 6.30pm. Classes will go for a minimum 1.5 hours. Location of lectures cannot be confirmed until closer to the commencement of the program. All lecturers are leaders in their field within the advertising industry. They cover topics ranging from idea creation, Posters, Press, Magazines, Outdoor, Television, Radio, Ambient, Online, New media and ‘How to get a job’.
Tutorials are held at selected advertising agencies in Wellington. All tutors are professional art directors and copywriters. Each week students are given a brief to work on (there are 10 briefs in all) and tutors critique the work accordingly. Most importantly tutors are there to encourage students in the creation of great ideas.
